I've seen The Color Purple over hundreds of times, including on Broadway. I could prob even recite the script if you challenged me to. I was in D.C. this past friday...Howard University had a fashion show and they had a whole set practically devoted to BUTCH DIVA (stay tuned for the footage). They also opened the show with a scene inspired by The Color Purple, in which the girls were actually walking the catwalk to this song...
